Committee purpose

The RSE Fellowship Committee (previously known as the Monitoring Committee) first met in 1991. The Fellowship Committee is responsible for:

  • Fellowship nomination process

  • Fellowship diversity

  • Fellowship engagement

Remit

Meeting Frequency / Purpose: meets at least twice yearly to consider recommendations from the Divisional Panels and to discharge duties above.

  • November – to agree candidates to recommend to Council for election
  • January/February – to review election process, diversity and fellowship engagement

Activities outwith Meetings: attendance by the Fellowship Secretary at the Annual Statutory Meeting in October and the New Fellows’ Induction in May.

The Fellowship Committee is responsible for managing Divisional Panels along with the diversity and engagement of Fellows.

Fellowship Nominations are reviewed by the Divisional Panel relevant to their discipline to create a shortlist for that discipline.
