Committee Purpose

The RSE Fellowship Committee (previously known as the Monitoring Committee) first met in 1991. The Fellowship Committee is responsible for:

Fellowship nomination process

Fellowship diversity

Fellowship engagement

Operational process

Meeting frequency/purpose: meets at least twice yearly to consider recommendations from Sector Groups and to discharge duties above

  • August – to agree number of fellowship places to recommend to Council for election
  • November – to agree candidates to recommend to Council for election
  • January/February – to review election process, diversity and fellowship engagement

Activities outwith meetings: attendance by the Fellowship Secretary at the Annual Statutory Meeting in October and the New Fellows’ Induction in May. Attendance by Committee Members at Sectional Committee meetings, as observers

The Fellowship Committee is responsible for the management of Sector Groups and Sectional Committees.
