Proceedings B — Biological Sciences
The RSE’s Biological Sciences journal started publication in 1941, when the RSE’s Proceedings journal was split into ‘A’ and ‘B’. Its first title was Proceedings of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, Section B (Biology) (volumes 61-74, 1941-74), evolving to Proceedings of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, Section B (Natural Environment) (volume 75, 1975-76) and, finally, Proceedings of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, Section B: Biological Sciences (volumes 76-104, 1978-1996). The journal ceased publication in 1996.
As with the RSE’s other two journals (Transactions and Proceedings A), the complete back run of Proceedings B has been digitised by Cambridge University Press.
