RSE Fulbright Scholar Award
We are delighted to accept applications for the RSE Fulbright Scholar Award in partnership with the US-UK Fulbright Commission. This annual award will offer an academic from anywhere in the UK the opportunity to go to a top university in the US for a maximum of three months to carry out lecturing and/or research.
For this upcoming round, applications that speak to one or more of the RSE’s strategic themes are invited, namely:
- Climate change and environmental sustainability
- Economic prosperity
- Social cohesion and inclusion
Applicant eligibility
In order to apply for this award, you must be able to demonstrate that:
- You are a resident in the UK and have a clear and continuing connection with Scotland, and you hold a PhD (or equivalent professional training or experience) in a relevant area before departure to the US.
Application process
Applications are open from 20 July 2026 until 2 November 2026.
