Voices of Covid – Kirsty Wark and Janey Godley in conversation
Janey Godley, Scottish actor, writer and comedian has emerged as one of the most distinctive voices of Scotland’s pandemic crisis.
The RSE’s Post-Covid-19 Futures Commission wants to examine the role of Public Debate during the pandemic. Join us as Kirsty Wark and Janey Godley explore the challenge of communicating ‘the science’ and public health advice during 2020, and the distinctive role that the arts, and comedy have come to play in these ‘serious’ times. Hear how Janey’s role has evolved, the public reaction and her observations on the year. The conversation will add to our reflections on the Scottish experience of the pandemic, and how the arts have helped inform and engage the public.
