Voices of Covid – Who Cuts Through & Why?

The RSE’s Post-Covid-19 Futures Commission wants to examine the role of Public Debate during the pandemic. Since Covid-19 arrived in Scotland, some voices have ‘cut through’ to reach the public, bringing public health messaging into new media spaces in different ways.

These voices have helped inform and shape public debate, translating ‘the science’ into meaningful engagement and influencing behaviours.

Join us as we gather our experts from the arts, humanities and the sciences to reflect on their roles in helping the public understand and tackle coronavirus this year. RSE President Dame Anne Glover hosts our guests for an afternoon conversation:

  • Janey Godley – Actor, Writer and Comedian
  • Professor Jason Leitch CBE – National Clinical Director
  • Professor Mona Siddiqui OBE FRSE – Professor of Islamic and Interreligious Studies
