The Periodic Table – an exciting fusion of science, art, music and history

The periodic table is one of the greatest achievements in science, and this year, the International Year of the Periodic Table, marks its 150th birthday. Come along to celebrate this important milestone and to see the oldest periodic table in the world, discovered right here in Scotland!

Join us for a day of hands-on chemistry activities, engaging public talks, periodic pitch-perfect performances of Mendeleev-inspired music by local school children and a poster competition for children of primary school age. Performances will also be given of prize-winning new music by Nicole Murphy and Robin Haigh, specially commissioned for the event through an International Competition.

The event is FREE however some activities require booking.
