Dr Alexander Stoddart FRSE


Dr Sandy Stoddart is a Scottish sculptor who has created a number of notable statues and civic monuments in Britain and internationally. His works consists primarily of figurative sculpture in clay and examples of his work include statues of David Hume, Adam Smith and James Clerk Maxwell in Edinburgh. He has also carried out architectural decorations on a large scale like those for the Sackler Library at the University of Oxford. In 2008 Sandy was appointed the Queen’s Sculptor in Ordinary In Scotland.
