After 16 years as Director of the Scottish Poetry Library, Dr Robyn Marsack left in 2016 and became a Royal Literary Fund Fellow at the University of Glasgow, where she advised students on their academic writing. Originally from New Zealand, Robyn earned her DPhil. from the University of Oxford and moved to Scotland in 1987. She has encouraged, facilitated, and energised people’s connection to poetry, but also has vast experience in publishing and translating. In 2014, Robyn was made Chevalier des Palmes Académiques for services to French culture, and has directed annual poetry translation workshops in Scotland and abroad. The Association for Scottish Literary Studies awarded her an Honorary Fellowship in 2014 for services to Scottish literature. She is currently Chair of the Board of StAnza, Scotland’s international poetry festival, and a Trustee of the Edwin Morgan Trust.
