Professor Zinnie Harris
Personal Professor of Playwriting and Screenwriting, University of St Andrews
Professor Zinnie Harris is a playwright and theatre director; her interests are in writing and directing plays that ask searching questions about modern morality, and that revisit characters and stories from the classic canon in light of contemporary psychological understanding and thinking. She studied Zoology at Oxford, followed by an MA in Theatre Direction at Hull University. She has been commissioned and produced by the Royal Court Theatre, the Royal National Theatre, the National Theatre of Scotland and the Royal Shakespeare Company, amongst others.
