Professor Vincent Poor

Professor Vincent Poor’s research interests are in the areas of information theory, statistical signal processing and stochastic analysis, and in their applications in wireless networking and related fields, including social networks and smart grid. He is also interested in the promotion of engineering education within a liberal arts setting, and in the teaching of technological subject matter to non-specialists. Vincent first joined Princeton University in 1990 as Professor of Electrical Engineering and became the Michael Henry Strater University Professor of Electrical Engineering in 2005. He was Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Science from 2006 – 2016.
