Professor Tom Wright
Research Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity, University of St Andrews
Professor Tom Wright is the former Bishop of Durham in the Church of England and became Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity at the University of St. Andrews in 2010. He is also one of the most widely known New Testament Scholars today and has worked extensively on the study of early Christianity in its Jewish and Greco-Roman environments. Tom has written over 80 books at both academic and popular levels, including the highly-praised ‘Christian Origins and the Question of God’ series. His interests include the study of Jesus in his first-century setting and the relationship of Christianity to contemporary culture, especially the arts.
