Professor Stephen Brewster is one of the UK’s leading researchers in Human Computer Interaction with research interests in using multiple sensory modalities and control mechanisms (particularly hearing, touch and gesture) to create a rich, natural interaction between humans and technology. His work has a strong experimental focus, applying perceptual research to practical situations. Application areas include interaction with mobile devices, in-car user interfaces, wearable devices, health and fitness and systems for people with visual impairments.
