Professor Sayantan Ghosal
Adam Smith Chair in Political Economy, University of Glasgow
Sayantan Ghosal’s research interests include foundations of general equilibrium, behavioural poverty/deprivation traps, game theory, political economy and sovereign debt restructuring. He has held over £10 million pounds in externally funded research grants including as the inaugural Research Director, ESRC funded Centre for Competitive Advantage in the Global Economy at Warwick, a co-investigator on the ESRC funded “Rebuilding Macroeconomics Network”, a Principal Investigator in several ESRC-FCDO funded projects and the ESRC IAA grant for the University of Glasgow. He has been a member of the several ESRC committees and panels including SAN and has supervised over 25 PhD students.
