Fellowship

Professor Peter Jackson is from western Canada and was educated at Carleton University, Ottawa; University of Calgary, Canada; and Corpus Christi College, Cambridge. He held post-doctoral positions at Cambridge and Yale Universities before joining the Department of International Politics at Aberystwyth University in 1998. Peter left Aberystwyth to take up a Chair at Strathclyde University before joining the University of Glasgow in 2014. Visiting Professorships include the Institut d’etudes politiques (Paris) and the Universite de Paris I (Pantheon–Sorbonne). Peter has published widely in the fields of the history of international relations, modern and contemporary France and security studies.
