Professor Naeem Ramzan
Professor and Director of AHCSE Research Centre, University of the West of Scotland
Professor Naeem Ramzan is a Full professor of AI and chair of Affective and Human Computing for Smart Environments at UWS. He is, a senior member of the IEEE, Senior Fellow of Advanced HE. He holds key position in standardisation bodies including co-chair of MPEG HEVC verification (AHG5) group and a voting member of the British Standard Institution (BSI). He has been a lead researcher in various nationally or EU sponsored multimillion-funded international research projects. He won different prestige awards including Scottish Knowledge Exchange Champion 2023, STARS award for outstanding Leadership 2019, STARS award for outstanding Research and Innovation 2017.
