Professor Michela Massimi
Professor of Philosophy of Science, University Of Edinburgh
Professor Michela Massimi is Professor of Philosophy of Science at the University of Edinburgh and has extensively written in the area of history and philosophy of science and, in particular, modern physics (ranging from Newton, to Kant, Pauli and contemporary particle physics and cosmology). Michela was Co-Editor-in-Chief of ‘The British Journal for the Philosophy of Science’ (2011 – 16) and is currently Vice-President of the European Philosophy of Science Association (2015 – 19). She is the recipient of the Royal Society 2017 Wilkins-Bernal-Medawar Medal and Lecture for her achievements in the area of history and philosophy of physics.
