Professor Margaret Mandy MacLean

Professor Mandy MacLean is a pulmonary pharmacologist. Over the last fifteen years, her research has focused on the role of gender, serotonin and oestrogens in the development of pulmonary hypertension. She has an international standing in this research field, having won a prestigious award from the American Thoracic Society in 2008 and a Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award in 2010. Mandy was awarded an MBE in the 2010 Queen’s New Year Honours list for Services to Science.
