Professor Margaret Buckingham

Professor Margaret Buckingham is a developmental biologist who studies the formation of skeletal muscle. She is currently Emeritus Research Director and Emeritus Professor at the Institut Pasteur, which she first joined in 1987 as Head of Molecular Genetics of Development. Margaret is a member of the French Academy of Sciences, the Royal Society and the National Academy of Sciences of the USA. In 2013, she was awarded the CNRS Gold Medal.
