Fellowship

Professor Lorna Macpherson has been Professor of Dental Public Health at the University of Glasgow since 2006 and is focused on improving population oral health and reducing dental health inequalities. Her research includes clinical trials and natural experiments and utilises data linkage. Lorna is involved in the development and evaluation of complex public health interventions, with a particular focus on child dental health. In 2006, she became Director of the Scottish Government’s Childsmile programme and advises many overseas agencies and governments on the development and evaluation of similar initiatives.
