Professor Linda Woodhead

Linda Woodhead is an expert on religion, beliefs and values. Her books include The Spiritual Revolution (with Paul Heelas), A Sociology of Religious Emotions (with Ole Riis), A Very Short Introduction to Christianity and Gen Z, Explained (with Roberta Katz, Sarah Ogilvie and Jane Shaw). Linda led the UK’s £12m AHRC/ESRC ‘Religion and Society’ research programme in 2007-12 and co-founded the Westminster Faith Debates. She has held visiting positions in Bern, Hanover, Lucerne, Manila, Münster, Princeton, and Stanford, and has honorary degrees from the Universities of Oslo and Uppsala.
