Kofi Anyidoho has made diverse contributions as an organic intellectual, cultural activist, creative/performing artist, prize-winning bi-lingual (English-Ewe) poet and dramatist with a wide repertoire of published poetry, children’s plays, scholarly work & artistic performances on slavery, CDs and videos of poetry dramatization and song performances. Professor of Literature & Director, CODESRIA African Humanities Institute Program, University of Ghana. Was 1st Occupant, Kwame Nkrumah Chair in African Studies; Ag. Director, School of Performing Arts & Head, English Department; President of US-based African Literature Association; Fellow and Vice President (Arts):2016-2020, Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences. 2020 honorary doctorate, University of Glasgow.
