Professor Kirsteen McCue

Kirsteen McCue is Professor of Scottish Literature and Song Culture at the University of Glasgow, where, from 2007-2022, she was Associate then Co-Director of the award-winning Centre for Robert Burns Studies. She has published widely on song culture in the Romantic period. Between 2017-19 she led an RSE network exploring national songs in Britain and Ireland 1750-1850, and from 2021-23 she led an RSE network to relaunch and enhance the Bibliography of Scottish Literature in Translation. She has served on several boards including the Dunedin Consort and is currently a Director of the National Piping Centre.
