Professor Kay Jamison is a psychologist with research interests in the study and treatment of mental disorders, particularly bipolar illness. She co-authored ‘Manic Depressive Illness: Bipolar Disorders and Recurrent Depression’, the definitive book on the topic, together with several other books about bipolar illness, its treatability, and her own experience with the disease. She has been Professor of Psychiatry at The John Hopkins University School of Medicine since 1993.
