Professor Justine Cassell

Professor Justine Cassell has made distinguished contributions in the field of computer science. Her expertise is in Embodied Conversational Agents – computational systems that bring together expertise in AI, Natural Language Processing and Computer Graphics and uses this technology to improve education for young people around the world, particularly disenfranchised and under-represented groups. In 2008, Justine was awarded the ‘Women of Vision Award’ from the Anita Borg Institute and was elected a Fellow of the American Academy for the Advancement of Science in 2012.
