Professor Jim Skea
Professor of Sustainable Energy, Imperial College London
Jim Skea CBE is Professor of Sustainable Energy at Imperial College London. His research focuses on climate change, energy and technical change. He is currently co-chair of Working Group III (Mitigation) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. He was a member of the UK Committee on Climate Change from its inception in 2008 until 2018, acting as Committee “champion” for Scottish issues. He currently chairs Scotland’s Just Transition Commission. From 2015-17, he was President of the Energy Institute, the professional body for people working in the energy sector.
