Professor Jérôme Casas
Professor of Ecology, University of Tours
Jérôme is specialized in the physical ecology of insects and in bio-inspired microtechnology. He graduated from ETH Zurich, had positions at the ETH, the University of California in Santa Barbara, and the university of Tours. He was awarded a Humboldt research award, was nominated at the Institut Universitaire de France and was the 2006 Distinguished Invited Professor of the Center for Insect Science in Tucson. Prof. Casas also served on several editorial boards, currently as editor in chief of Current Opinion in Insect Science. His post-doc at Strathclyde had a lasting impact on his career and he is currently Honorary Professor at Heriot-Watt University.
