Professor Jeremy Wilson
Director of Science, Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB)
Professor Jeremy Wilson has been Director of Science at the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) since 2020, having been Head of Conservation Science at RSPB Scotland for the period 2001-2020. He is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of RSPB’s science programme throughout the UK and globally. Jeremy holds an Honorary Chair at the University of Stirling, is Vice-President of the Scottish Ornithologists’ Club, and a member of Scottish Government’s Biodiversity Programme Advisory Group. He is also a Senior Editor of the British Ornithologists’ Unions journal, Ibis. Research interests include problem-solving science to inform nature conservation, with a particular interest in understanding the impacts of land management, especially agricultural change, on bird populations.
