Professor Jane Reid
University of Aberdeen
Professor Jane Reid is an ecologist and evolutionary biologist with interests in understanding how genetic and environmental variation combine to influence the reproduction, survival and movements of individual population members, and how resulting variation translates into population dynamics and evolution. To achieve these aims, Jane utilises long-term field studies of wild bird populations, coupled with sophisticated statistical analyses and simulation modelling. She is committed to fostering public and policy engagement with her research.
