Jamie Davies is interested in the basic science of how organs and tissues develop during embryonic and foetal life. He is also interested in how we can apply what we learn about natural development to engineer replacement organs for clinical use, and to design entirely novel tissues by the techniques of synthetic biology. His lab also runs the main drug development database for IUPHAR (International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology).
