Fellowship

Professor James Njuguna is the Strategic Lead for Engineering Research and Professor of Composite Materials at Robert Gordon University (RGU). He is also the Lead for Integrated Energy programmed at National Subsea Centre. He is widely involved in materials, structures, pipes and pipelines for energy production, storage and distribution networks. Prof Njuguna’s research is focused on experimental research on composite materials reinforcement, toughness, materials design and selection; and structural-property relationship. Structural composites research is focused on industrial applications such as engineering design, evaluation of composites integrity and durability evaluation primary structural applications in impact resistance and energy absorption management.
