Holly Branigan is Head of the School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences and Professor of Psychology of Language and Cognition at the University of Edinburgh. Her research takes an interdisciplinary approach to investigating the cognitive processes and representations that underlie language production, interactive language use and language learning (with a particular focus on syntactic structure and lexical choice). Her work addresses these issues in a wide range of populations, including monolingual and bilingual adults, and typically and atypically developing children, and extends to many languages, including traditionally understudied languages.
