Professor Graham Watt retired from the University of Glasgow in late 2016 after being appointed the Norrie Miller Professor of General Practice in 1994. Throughout his career Professor Watt has addressed the issues of inequality in health, healthcare and primary care in deprived areas. He has recently been involved in developing and coordinating ‘General Practitioners at the Deep End’ project which communicates the experience of general practitioners working in the 100 most deprived communities in Scotland.
