Professor Gill Reid

Professor Gill Reid is a chemist who focuses on experimental inorganic, coordination chemistry and organometallic chemistry both to develop fundamentally new classes of molecules and to explore their applications towards functional thin film materials and fluoride carriers for applications in medical imaging. She has a long-standing interest in the development of young people in STEM subjects and has been active in promoting science in schools through various outreach and related activities for over 20 years. Gill is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and is currently President-elect of the RSC, becoming President from 2022 to 2024.
