Professor Eva Hevia

Professor Eva Hevia is a passionate inorganic synthetic chemist. She is currently developing polar organometallic reagents that operate via unique cooperative effects for application in important organic transformations. These types of reagent are used worldwide in academia and technology for the construction of fine chemicals from agrochemicals to pharmaceuticals through to new materials. Born in Spain, Eva spent almost two decades in Scotland. She joined the University of Strathclyde in 2003 and held the role of Professor of Inorganic Chemistry from 2013 – 2019. Eva joined the University of Bern in 2019.
