The RSE Fellowship comprises around 1,800 leading experts in the sciences, arts, business, professions and the third and public sectors, with links to Scotland. This range of expertise within the Fellowship places us in a unique position to provide an informed, interdisciplinary response to issues facing Scotland and internationally.

Professor Dr Peifeng Li
Dean and Distinguished Professor, Qingdao University
Professor Peifeng Li obtained his doctoral degree at medicine. He worked at the Max-Delbruck-Center for Molecular Medicine, Germany. Currently he is a distinguished professor at the University of Qingdao, China. Cardiovascular diseases and cancers are the first leading cause of mortality. His research focuses on the molecular regulation of cardiovascular diseases and cancers. He is interested in deciphering the role of non-coding RNAs in myocardial infarction and heart failure. One obstacle of cancer therapy is cancer resistance to chemotherapy. He is exploring the therapeutic targets for chemotherapy to find new and innovative approaches for the treatment of cancers.
