Professor Davy McCracken
Head of Integrated Land Management Department, Scotland's Rural College
Professor Davy McCracken is an agricultural ecologist who has been Head of SRUC’s Hill & Mountain Research Centre since 2013 and Head of SRUC’s wider Integrated Land Management Department since 2019. He is involved in providing advice and guidance on agricultural and agri-environmental policy development to a wide range of national and international governmental and NGO committees. Davy is currently inputting to the development of both Scotland’s new agricultural support policy and future biodiversity strategy. He is also heavily involved in knowledge exchange using a wide variety of media and inputting to land manager focussed events both on and off the SRUC upland research farms near Crianlarich.
