Professor David Salt

Professor David Salt is an internationally renowned plant biologist whose research interests include understanding the function of genes and gene networks that regulate the mineral nutrient and trace element composition of plants and how variation in these gene systems allows plants to adapt to their local soil environment. Originally from the UK, David spent over 20 years in the USA before returning to the UK in 2011 to take up post at the University of Aberdeen.
