Fellowship

Professor Galbraith is Chair of the UK Joint Nature Conservation Committee, advising governments on nature conservation at the UK and international levels. He has been instrumental in leading innovative approaches to the identification and management of protected areas for nature, and on wildlife conservation across the UK. His work includes advising the United Nations on topics of current concern including zoonoses transmission; the interactions between climate change and biodiversity losses, involving complex cultural, economic, ecological and risk management decisions. He has led the development of transformational formal global inter-governmental Agreements on the conservation of migratory species, and on climate change.
