The RSE Fellowship comprises around 1,800 leading experts in the sciences, arts, business, professions and the third and public sectors, with links to Scotland. This range of expertise within the Fellowship places us in a unique position to provide an informed, interdisciplinary response to issues facing Scotland and internationally.

Professor Claire Connolly
Professor of Modern English, University College Cork
Claire Connolly is Professor of Modern English at University College Cork. She has research interests in Irish and Scottish romanticism and is the Co General Editor of Irish Literature in Transition, 1700-2020 (Cambridge University Press, 2020). Her PI-led interdisciplinary research projects include Deep Maps: West Cork Coastal Cultures (funded by the Irish Research Council, 2015-2018) and Ports, Past and Present (funded by the European Regional Development Fund via the Ireland Wales Programme, 2019-2023).
