Professor Charles Nolan

Prior to joining the University of Glasgow in 2010, Professor Charles Nolan held posts at the Universities of St. Andrews, Durham and Reading and spent eight years as Senior Advisor at the Bank of England before joining academia. His research focuses on the conduct of macroeconomic policies including so-called macroprudential policies, as well as aggregative fiscal policy and tax design. Charles is also an Associate Editor of ‘The European Economic Review’ and sits on the Committee of The MMF (Money, Macro and Finance) research group.
