Fellowship

Professor Aggelos Kiayias is chair in Cyber Security and Privacy and director of the Blockchain Technology Laboratory at the University of Edinburgh. He is also the Chief Scientist at information technology company IOHK. His research interests are in computer security, distributed systems, applied and theoretical cryptography with a particular emphasis in blockchain technologies, electronic voting and privacy and identity management. Over the years, he has designed, analysed and improved the security of a wide array of computer systems. He also lead the design and contributed to the deployment of widely used systems in the area of distributed ledger technology.
