The RSE Fellowship comprises around 1,800 leading experts in the sciences, arts, business, professions and the third and public sectors, with links to Scotland. This range of expertise within the Fellowship places us in a unique position to provide an informed, interdisciplinary response to issues facing Scotland and internationally.

Our Fellows from academia, business and public service are among the most distinguished in their fields. We engage and connect nationally and internationally to share knowledge and tackle the most pressing challenges of the modern world.

Ms Theresa Shearer
Chief Executive Officer, ENABLE Group
Theresa Shearer is one of the third sector’s most respected and influential leaders, having made a significant impact in the UK and internationally. Theresa led the transformation and growth of an important group of charities delivering an equal future for Scotland’s citizens. As CEO of ENABLE Group, she inspires public policy developments driving and delivering human rights advocacy, sustainable employment and training, and excellent self-directed social care for all. Theresa is a Commissioner on the UK Law Family Commission on Civil Society and Vice President of Inclusion Europe, working to end segregation and institutionalisation of disabled people across Europe.
