Mrs Jackie Waring
Founder, Investing Women Angels Ltd
Jackie Waring is a trail blazing influential entrepreneur with a track record of over 30 years impactful advocacy for women’s entrepreneurship.
Having pioneered Scotland’s first all-female angel group Investing Women Angels (IWA);
Jackie has led positive change in the Scottish Business and Investment landscape bringing greater diversity to this community and increasing investment in female founders.
Jackie has been an active advisor to governments on female entrepreneurship and is part of the team undertaking the 2023 Stewart Review for the Scottish Government. Her earlier work advising UK government on tackling barriers to female founders’ growth and investment also led to the creation of the UK’s very first equity fund for women entrepreneurs.
Jackie also founded IWA’s sister company AccelerateHER to accelerate the growth, visibility, international connections & financial backing of female founders. The AccelerateHER community is now UK wide having helped many thousands of female founders; including creating highly customised all-female trade and investment missions to California, wider USA, Dubai and Germany.
Jackie was the UK’s first advisory board member of the Washington DC based Global Banking Alliance for Women.
In 2022 she became a Non-Executive Director of CPI who recently opened the Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre in Paisley.
