Ronald Milne is a Scot who was formerly Dean of Educational Resources & Technology at Yale-NUS College, Singapore. Ronald came to Singapore via New Zealand, where he held senior positions at the Alexander Turnbull Library, National Library of New Zealand and the NZ Ministry for Culture and Heritage. Prior to moving to New Zealand, Ronald had a regular career in research libraries in the UK. Most immediately, he came from the British Library, where he was Director of Scholarship and Collections. He has also worked at a number of other institutions with rich documentary heritage collections, including the University of Glasgow, Trinity College Cambridge and the University of Oxford, where he was Deputy (subsequently Acting) Director of University Library Services. Immediately prior to taking up the position at Oxford, Ronald was Director of the Research Support Libraries Programme, based at the University of Edinburgh. Ronald has a strong interest in the development and exploitation of library and archival research collections and is an advocate for cross-domain collaboration in the GLAM sector. He has been a member of a number of UK, New Zealand and international library committees.
