Colin McClatchie is an experienced Non-Executive Chairman and Director who spent 13 years in various managerial roles within the media industry, starting with Thomson Regional Newspapers in 1971. He moved to the Scottish Daily Record and Sunday Mail in 1984, increasing sales of both titles in eight out of eleven years. In 1995, Colin joined News International Newspaper as General Manager and was appointed Managing Director for Scotland and Ireland in 2004, a position he held until 2007. Previous roles include Chair of The Institute of Directors, Scotland; Chair of St Columba's School in Kilmacolm; Chair of Glasgow UNESCO City of Music. Colin's Non-Executive Directorships include Scottish Enterprise, Dunfermline Press Group, Beattie Media and The Kemsley Agency. He is also a former Chairman of the Scottish Society of Epicureans and is currently Vice-President of Scottish Opera and Chair of Prescient. His interests include cooking, opera, golf and theatre.
