Professor Matthew John Dalby FRSE

Professor of Cell Engineering, University of Glasgow.

Professor Matthew Dalby is a biologist interested in the way that mesenchymal stem cells from bone marrow interact with materials. He gained his PhD in Biomedical Materials in 2001 from Queen Margaret University of London, joined the University of Glasgow in 2000, and became Professor of Cell Engineering in 2014. In 2009, Matthew founded the Glasgow Orthopaedic Initiative with Dominic Meek to help improve academic training for trainee surgeons in the West of Scotland.
