Lord Robert Reed of Allermuir
President, The Supreme Court of the United Kingdom
Lord Reed is a Justice of the UK Supreme Court and became Deputy President of The Supreme Court on 7 June 2018. He previously sat in the Court of Session, and is also one of the UK’s ad hoc in the European Court of Human Rights. He has a particular interest in constitutional and administrative law, and in human rights law, on which he is one of the authors of a standard textbook. Lord Reed has also been extensively involved in international judicial cooperation. He is an Honorary Professor at the University of Glasgow, and the Visitor of Balliol College, Oxford.
