Professor Kate Storey is a developmental biologist researching neutral differentiation in embryos and embryonic stem cells. Her work uses real-time imaging techniques to monitor cell behaviour and focuses on how cell signalling regulates nuclear organisation and gene accessibility. She also has a keen interest in science communication and has undertaken a number of Sci-Art collaborations. Kate was appointed Professor of Neural Development in 2007 after joining the university in 1990.
