Ms Elizabeth Jane Ryder OBE FRSE
Chair, Historic Environment Scotland.
After establishing a career as a specialist maritime solicitor, Jane Ryder has over twenty years’ experience working in charity and public leadership roles. From 2002 to 2011 Jane was the first Chief Executive of the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator, establishing the new regulatory regime for charities in Scotland. Voluntary roles have included Chair of the Scottish Refugee Council and Trustee of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland. Jane is a board member of Revenue Scotland and Scottish Policy Authority and is the first Chair of Historic Environment Scotland.
