Professor Graeme Reid worked in the Business Department, the Cabinet Office and HM Treasury before moving to UCL. Graeme was specialist advisor to the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee during inquiries into Brexit and, more recently, industrial strategy. He led policy reviews for the Scottish Funding Council and the Welsh Government. Current appointments include Council member, Research England; Chair, Campaign for Science and Engineering; Trustee, Association of Medical Research Charities; and Strategic Advisor, National Centre for Universities and Business. Graeme began his career at the National Engineering Laboratory and has a BSc in Physics and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
